Their main goal is to raise awareness on Maui about the prevalence & severity of heart disease – the #1 killer of women.

Research shows that women who join the Go Red for Women movement take action to improve their heart health and fight heart disease.

WHAT? Go Red For Women – The Movement

Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s nationwide movement that celebrates the energy, passion, and power of women to band together and wipe out heart disease – the #1 killer of women. Go Red for Women encourages women to reduce their risk for heart disease by assessing their risk for heart disease with the Go Red Heart Check-up, and visiting their healthcare provider each year to control blood pressure, cholesterol & weight.

WHY? Women & Heart Disease – The Facts
