The 41st Annual Maui Marathon, to be held on September 18th, is looking for local bands of Hawaiian and or Jawaiian genres to play on the beautiful Marathon Course, Marathon Expo, or headline at the finish line! Bands will be showcased to more than 2,200 runners, 10,000 enthusiastic spectators that will surround the course. Bands or groups chosen will also have a chance to gain local, national, and international exposure through Local and National media leading up and during the event. This is a great opportunity for upstart bands to get noticed and or established bands to give back to the Maui community through beautiful Hawaiian and Jawaiian Reggae music. There is a limit to 20 bands, so please get your spot quickly. Most bands will play for at least 45 to 60 minutes.

ALSO Spirit on the Course
The 40th Annual Maui Marathon is looking 300 hula dancers from local halau here on Maui to line the course to dance and cheer. These energetic hula dancers will wave posters and dance to beautiful Hawaiian music to keep runners’ spirits high every step of the way. The Spirit on the Course Hula Competition awards the top three most spirited halau with trophies and other prizes. Groups are judged based on creativity, participation, and enthusiasm.
