 Throughout the years, the Maui Marathon has relied on local community volunteers to help produce what has become a world-class event. Beginning in 1995, we approached local non-profits to assist us. As the event has grown from one race with under 400 participants in 1994 to an anticipated 4,500 participants in four races, so has the need for volunteers.We have been very fortunate to have many of Maui’s non-profits step up and help each year. In exchange for their help, we are proud to say that we have raised and donated more than $250,000 to the supporting groups in the last 12 years. We are thankful for the support we receive through the many non-profits. However with such a large event to manage we are still in need of a few extra volunteers.
