Daniel Marcus of Wailuku won the Maui Tacos 5k with a time of :16:06 followed by Jeff Sanders of Lahaina with a time of :16:29. Gary Fanelli of Honolulu finished third in :16:37.
The women's overall winner was Linda Neary of Makawao with a time of :18:31 followed by Heidi Ballendorf of Kahului in :18:40. Lynne O'Donnel of Seattle Washington finished third with a time of :18:45.
The Maui Tacos 5K was held for the fourth year in conjunction with the Maui Marathon on Sunday, March 19. More than 571 people participated in the race that began at the Maui Marriott in Kaanapali and ended on Front Street in Lahaina.
